Alone and Scared

Author's Note: I wrote this short story because I like writing about being stranded. It is easy for me to write about and isn’t all that boring.

I woke up to a loud boom. As i looked over my shoulder out the window I noticed that the right wing’s engine had exploded and was now on fire. At this point I was scared out of my mind with my whole life going through my head. Then I heard a ding and the sound of the captain's voice. “It is to my regret to inform you that we will have to make a crash landing. Then right away I looked out the window to see what was around us. Since I was going to Mexico ,to meet up with some friends, at the moment we were right above the ocean.

I was still staring out the window knowing these were probably going to be the last moments of my life. We were getting closer to the water every second. At the moment I was thinking that maybe we do have hope. Most pilots can land a plane in water pretty good. There was a big jerk and the tail of the plane started to go up. I knew we must’ve hit something in the water like a coral reef. Then I fainted.

I woke up hanging upside down amazed that I had survived but then I slipped out of my seat belt and splashed into the water. The worst part about this was how the water was bloody. There were dozens of dead bodies in the water. I quickly got out and scanned for any islands. I had a glorious feeling when I saw a tiny island filled with vegetation. I quickly grabbed a piece of the wreckage and began swimming over to the island.

When I got to the island the first thing I noticed was a poorly constructed hut. Curiously I went over there to check it out. About halfway there someone jumped out of the woods and ran full speed towards me screaming, “Another survivor!” Later that day we fixed some bad spots in the hut and made it big enough for three people so we both would have enough room to ourselves for space. Then I just went to lay down next to the fire. Being next to the fire When I woke up my “friend” was literally sprawled out on the floor above a puddle of blood.

The next few days after the suicide all I did was scavenge for food and water. Until on my 5th day stranded I heard a faint chopping. I sprinted with all my energy to my signal fire and lit it. Within minutes I had enough smoke that you could see it from the moon. The chopper landed and took me in. I was bouncing with joy but soon drifted into a deep sleep. Ten hours later I was back with my family living a great and normal life.

Dream House

Author's Note: I wrote this to tell people how awesome my dream house would be.

In my dream house I would really love to have a room where you can jump on trampolines and ride bikes into foam pits. It would also have four stories and be on the beach. You could also then zip line from the top floor down to the backyard. It would have elevators in it because I hate stairs. I would have my own two chefs so one could have a night shift and one could have a day shift. I would always order pancakes for breakfast and steak for dinner.

Things To Do

Author's Note: I wrote this piece to make people aware of how you should have thing you want to do before you die, things to create astonishing memories.

A bucket list, the list of things many people create as almost a life goal of the thing you want to do before you die, but not all people have one. You can day dream of things you want to do or want to but never do them. A bucket list is one thing that convinces you to do something you want to do but think you don't have the guts. One of mine is pretty crazy, skydiving. Falling through the sky at great speeds praying your parachute isn't one of the ones that malfunctions and doesn't work. I've wanted to go for a long time because it's a crazy thing that would really make one loose their lunch. Another thing on my to do list would be to go scuba diving. Over spring break when I was in Mexico my sister, my dad, and I went snorkeling. The things we saw like fish and the reef were really cool. That was just about ten feet! Think of how cool it would be at 100 feet. My third and final thing I for sure want to do before I die, well before I graduate college, is play a full season of collage football. Right now I want to go to Wisconsin and play in the amazing Badger Football program. They are a really good team and playing football for them is one of my dreams. My list isn't exactly a bucket list but it is a list of three pretty cool things.

The Hospital

Author’s Note: I wrote this to tell people the amazing story of the only time I ever went to the hospital.

When I was little both of my parents worked. My mom worked at a bank and my father works in Milwaukee as a architect. One day at daycare ,being the awesome daredevil little kid I was, I jumped off of something. A couple minutes later my dad got a call for the day care saying that I ripped my eyelid open. It was a little exaggeration considering that it was my eyebrow. I don’t know how many stitches I got or what I jumped off and hit. I have no memory what so ever of this just what my parents told me.
