Christmas Break

Authors note: I am writing this to tell people about what I will do for Christmas.
During Christmas break I look forward to kicking back and relaxing.  I will probably also play my game Battlefield 3.  In this game you can fly jets, drive tanks and other vehicles. I will probably go to the new movie the Darkest Hour with a friend. It’s going to be a great Christmas break.

All I Want For Chritstmas

Authors note: I wrote this so it could help me think of things I want for Christmas.
All I want for Christmas is this new game for my Play Station Three.  This game is the eighth one in this amazing series, Modern Warfare 3.  This is a first person shooter game where you are multiple characters.  The characters you play as include Captain Price, Soap, Yuri, and Frost.  You can’t pick which person you play as.  This game is about WW3, and Manhattan gets basically destroyed. This is a really fun game, I have played it at my friends house on Xbox 360.  

I also want a skinit from skinit.com, skinit.com is a place where you can order skins for things like ps3, ps3 controller, phones, iPods, etc. Since I broke my headphones now I need a new headset.  Those are the main things I want for Christmas.

Snow Football

 Authors note:  I wrote this so people can realize how fun it is to play tackle football in the snow. 

I woke up in the winter and it was the first day it snowed.  I called my friend Jack and when he came over and we outside and grabbed a football.  I kicked off and ran down to tackle him.  He tried to shake me off but i dragged him down.   He hiked the ball and he ran around me, 7-0.  Jack punted the ball and he ran down to tackle me.   I spun him out and ran for a touchdown, 7-7  When i kicked it, it sailed over his head and planted into the ground and when he was picking the ball i nailed him into the snow.  

When he hiked the ball he tossed it to himself but i picked the ball of with one hand and was buried into the snow.   When I hiked the ball i tossed it to myself and caught it.  I ran all the way and scored the winning touchdown.  Then after my well fought victory we went in to warm up.

Stranded

Author's note:  This is a short story about me and my friends getting stranded on an island while flying to Hawaii.  I wrote about being stranded because i can easily write about this topic.

Later one the U.S. rescued Brandon from the Russians, apparently the piece of wall missed Alex’s heart, and for Jake well the guy never shot him just hit him with a gun.  So because we all were back together again we were going on a trip to Hawaii.   We were all wearing our purple hearts except for Jake, he didn’t get one because he wasn’t shot.  We were all looking at our new manly scars from the explosions and bullets, and for Alex a wall.  Then a big boom and we looked out the window to only see half our left wing on fire.  

Our plane lost altitude and fast, so fast we were floating.  We floated to the cockpit to see our pilots trying to gain control of the plane but all that happened was nothing.  I turned and said” hey guys we might get to Hawaii but it’s not going to be a smooth landing.  Then we dropped and hit the ground hard.  We were going to crash soon so the four of us sat down and peed our pants except for Alex who found the only parachute and jumped.  Brandon said “ Screw you guys, I’m going with”  Brandon jumped out and grabbed onto Alex’s legs.  Jake and I sat down and Jake started crying “I’m going to die!!”  

Minutes later we saw that we were really close to the ground.  I sat down and just prayed I would live.   The plan hit the ground and we were rolling.  The back part of the plan cracked off and rolled into the forest, luckily not creating a forest fire.  Then the part I was in was slowing down.  We slid into the ocean and started to sink.  I went and found Jake who was unconscious and picked him up.  I went to the top of the plane and leaped into the ocean.  I swam and took Jake with me to the shore where there were many people pointing in the sky.  They were pointing at Alex and Brandon.  Everyone was throwing rocks and sticks at them.

I took a sharp rock and threw it at them.  The rock went through the parachute and they started falling fast.  They fell into the forest and we went looking for them.  When we found them and Brandon was standing on the grounding laughing at Alex who was stuck and tangled up in the parachute.   He was hanging about 30 feet in the air.  We finally cut him down after about five minutes of laughing at him.  Then we didn’t know what to do.  Brandon, Alex, Jake, Ryan, and I all started on our own fort made out of wood.  We got it pretty big but we also needed supplies.  I got a good idea where we could go and rip out some seats, we could use them for beds.  

We had already finished our makeshift house, but it was already after dark so we would get lost if we tried to go to the plane.  It was really difficult to make the fort because we had no idea what predators would be roaming around at night. So we built it in a tree.   In the morning I awoken a couple really loud cracks.  Then I was falling to the ground and I hit a branch and hit it hard.  The branch broke off and then I hit the ground.  I then decided to get up because I think i fractured my shoulder.

I decided to wake all of my friends up.  We all went for a swim and swam over to the plane that is still in the water.
    We got there and we all screamed, there we dozens of bodies.  We all knew this would   make sleep a lot easier so we made Ryan go in while we played around in the water.  When we got back to our fort we laid all of the seats we brought back on the ground.  We hoped that we would always be able to find it because it was right next to the beach and is very visible.  Although everyone else was gone so it seems this is every man for himself.  We set out to find some food and since my shoulder wasn’t hurting as much anymore Alex and I used our ninja skills to climb the a tree.
   

Alex and I were hoping from tree to tree above Ryan, Jake, and Brandon.  About every five minutes we would throw a stick at them. Strangely we were having a fun time.  While we were up there I was trying to get signal with my cell phone but I didn’t have any luck.   Once we found a big banana tree we had our food for the night.  We went back to our fort and ate our banana lunch.  After we just climbed a bunch of trees while all the other people that survived came back.

We had climbed a lot of trees and we were all very tired but we ere getting dehydrated and needed water.  While we lead everyone through the forest we could here what sounded like a water fall.  Then we saw it and jumped right in drinking a lot of the water.  Later that night we went to bed feeling good.  When we woke up there seemed to be at least five people missing.  Everyone was scared including me.   Brandon was missing and I needed to find him because we have been threw a lot together.   I knew that i couldn’t loose him again.  Last time I ran as he was taken hostage.

Jake, Ryan, Alex, and I were walking silently through the woods.   We were looking for Brandon, we were walking around with some sharpened sticks.  We heard screaming and seconds later we found two adults holding Brandon with another about to stab him with a stick.  “Eat or be eaten”  There we also about two others on the ground unconscious.  We lunged at the adults and beat them to a pulp.   We stood around smiling until we saw the stick in Brandon's leg.  

So now i had to carry him back because a Ryan is too lazy.   When we got back we heard a helicopter.   I dropped Brandon and ran out there signaling we needed help.  They loaded everyone on and the started too take off.  We got about 70 feet in the air when a helicopter malfunctioned and started spinning.  Then the helicopter span towards us and didn’t stop.

Once it got close enough the pilot tried to steer out of the way.  He partly succeeded but the helicopter hit the back tail of ours.  It was critical hit and we knew we were going to crash.   We were spinning like crazy.  Jake lost his feet and started rolling towards the opening on the helicopter where we got on.  I dove at Jake and he slipped out of the helicopter and i caught him by the arm.  Then I started to slip so Ryan got up to help me but only fell out of the helicopter.  I pulled Jake up and he hugged me.  I sat down and was buckling my seat belt when we hit the tree tops.

We were spinning around and everyone but me was flung out.  I was the only one in the helicopter and it was about to hit the ground.  When it did it exploded and I was knocked out.  When I woke up I was foggy and my vision was blurry.  I could make out Jake, Alex and Brandon walking around the helicopter.  When they found me they pulled me out and Brandon carried me around.  We found Ryan and had to wait for more helicopters to come.

Two days later they came and they needed a medic for Ryan so he got to stay a couple more days but we got to leave.  We all got to get back to our except for Ryan who had broken his back and luckily he didn’t get paralyzed.   

Saving The School

I was in Languages Arts in the middle of writing my essay when Jake walked right by the door and all of a sudden there was a loud pop, a hole in a door. Now Jake laying on the ground screaming with a bloody leg.    Ryan ran over to him and pulled him to cover where Mr. Graf tried to slow the bleeding.  Then a guy with a ski mask came into the room with full body armor and a M9 pistol.
I was hiding right next to the door and luckily he didn’t see me.  I jumped on his back and put him in a choke hold but when he aimed the M9 behind him i panicked and snapped his neck.
Since Jake was still bleeding bad i put him over my shoulder and gave him the pistol.  While i ran he shot any Russians behind us.  We had determined that they were Russians because they had a spetnaz emblem on their equipment.  
When we walked out of the door there was another Russian standing in front of me.  Ryan quickly ran at him, he knocked him out quickly but soon we had them on our trail. Seconds later we were running for our life with bullets taking little bits of my hair off.  Now that pissed me off. I pulled out a pistol from the guy Ryan knocked out and Jake and I unloaded our mags at them.  After that we knew there must’ve almost been half the Russian army at our school.
It was me, Jake, Ryan, Alex, and Brandon.  We were all like a band of brothers.  We got to the nurse where she fixed Jake up and now he could walk.  He limped around but he could still walk.  Minutes later we were behind a couple Russians guarding a big stash of guns.  While i said we have to take them out together Brandon said “don’t worry bro, I got this!”  He ran over and jumped on a guys back, took his gun and shot everyone.  We all picked guns, but I got a bad gun.
We were walking around going commando until the thing we never thought happened.  The wall exploded after Brandon set off a trip wire.  We were flung into a wall and we all saw a piece of wall was lodged into Alex’s chest.  He was certainly dead then the Russians invaded the hallway and Brandon was shot multiple times before I jumped ahead and shot them all.  I had a bullet in my chest but could still go.  Ryan carried Brandon back to Asa where the was C4 on the floor and it blew the floor up and we fell through.  Brandon looked up only to be taken hostage.  We had to run because Brandon told us to.
When we got to the part where Asa met the High school.  Ryan put his ear up to the door and screamed “RUN!” He took about six steps before the door was blown to smithereens.  Ryan was tossed through a window.  All of us ran over to him and picked him up we had to help him get to safety before we were seen and shot.  We hid behind the big AC machine.  We couldn’t go forward or backward.   There were at least ten guys forward and a big drop for the roof backward. When all looked bad i turned into all hero mode and went commando against those Russian losers.
Actually there was one guy left guarding the door and the only reason I got him was that i wanted his G36 w/ Hybrid Site.  So now i had a g36 and Ryan and Jake had M4’s .  I found a grappling rope and hook for us to use to get down to ground level.  Then i heard a gun shot, turned, and lit up guy with a pistol who had just shot Jake in the back of the head.   I knew for the sake of the school i needed to keep going.
Ryan and I started going down when the line was cut by a Russian.  Ryan shot the guy when he was falling.  We hit the ground seconds later and i blacked out. The next thing i saw was Ryan sitting next to me unloading his gun at the front of Asa.  I picked my gun up and saw a bazooka rocket flying towards me.  It hit the barriers that had been set by the US Rangers.  We were flung into a heavily  armored hummer as we laid there.  I knew it was over, the Russians came and took Ryan and I hostage.
We were riding in a heavily armored hummer  when I found a desert eagle in the back of the truck.  I shot the passenger.  He was dead, then the driver accidental drove into the library.  Ryan and I were laying on the ground while we watched the US rangers breach the library where apparently was Russians main place of operations.  Once they saw Ryan and I in the wreckage.  They quickly pulled us away as the hummer exploded.   Later we received the medal of honor and got back to our regular lives.

The Nightmare You Never Wanted.

 Authors Note: I wrote this so when people read it they will want to read this amazing book.
Would you ever walk into a abandoned mental asylum at night?  I wouldn’t,  but apparently six teens would.  In Luara Faria Stolarz’s book project 17 six teens go into a abandoned mental asylum at night for a night mare they didn’t want.This is definitely a great book to read.

In the book project 17 Luara had a really good idea.  It was a great idea especially for the setting of the book and what they were doing. Luara made it so there were no chapters, but instead she did it so it switched the point of view. The chapters were the characters, it would switch from one characters point of view to another. At one point you might be Derick running down the hallways trying to find Chet. Then you will be Chet and then you would from his point of view what exactly he was doing.  

A great part about this book that i always look for in books is it keeps me wanting to read more.  The different point of views throughout the book really helps.  For readers there will be one character that they want to be the point of view. That happened to me, I kept reading and reading waiting for him to be the new point of view.  When it happened i was happy and liked what I was reading, but the book was still exhilarating even when it wasn’t that certain character.

This book was really suspenseful, you would never know what was going to happen or what the characters where going to do.  They might walk into a room with a doll hanging from the ceiling saying a baby likes to die or maybe a character might fall through the floor.  Throughout the book people will play tricks on each other and hide to freak everybody out.  I was always waiting for somebody else to hide, and when they did even the reader didn’t know if they were gone for good or just hiding.

In the end the characters help a person out who committed suicide at the asylum.  This girl loved her stuffed animal so much she couldn’t let someone take it who wouldn’t be a good mom.  They go on a wild goose chase and end up finding it in her room after walking across the whole building to get to the roof where it told them where it was.  After they found out where the stuffed animal was they walked all the way back and got it.

The whole reason they even went into the asylum was to shoot a video that could win a character a internship.  Even though he didn’t end up winning they still had fun with what they did.  I think that’s the lesson in the book, that even if you don’t succeed you can still have fun.  They all had a good time and Derick got a girlfriend too because they went. The girl he is now dating went with and he was nice to her and put her before him and then he got her.

This was a great book, the author had so many great ideas that she put into the story.  This was not a hard book to read so it expands it’s ages of interest.  Except for the swearing which there was a lot of.  That is one of the great ideas, because it is realistic. I recommend this book to anyone who doesn’t mind swearing, because this is a great book.

Being Proud Of Your Country

Authors note-  I wrote this essay to tell people that I am proud of my country and that they should be to even though there are some downs to our country.  There are many reason which will be listed I the paper.  If this sounds interesting then you better read up.

Have you ever asked yourself if you're  proud of what your country has done?  Well I am.  There are so many things to be proud about.  We have determined that people can almost get anything done if they set their minds to it.  Our country has it’s ups and downs, but it definitely is an amazing country.

  One big thing I noticed is that we are never short of volunteers now.  In World War One and World War Two we were a little, but now we have plenty of skilled soldiers who are willing to die for our country.  That’s having pride in your country.  We have never actually lost a war but the worst that has happened is that we signed a treaty and didn’t win but tied.  Our country is most certainly amazing.   

Our country also bounces back. After 9/11 we didn’t know what to do at first but then we bounced back and declared war with the Taliban.  We have lost many young soldiers who sacrificed their lives for our country and certainly did not deserve to die.   Now many years later since we bounced back now we have killed the man who planned the attack.  Some people disagreed with the celebrations and mini parties people had because this man died.

We are still at war with them though because just killing their leader won’t stop them. We will probably win, because we have way better technology then them.  They mostly have ak47’s, RPG-7’s and suicide bombers that drive cars into the walls of our bases. We have great technology in different places too like a car manufacturer where there are programmed robots to build the cars and computers in schools that help students learn.

Even though I am very proud of my country, I am not proud of all the pollution.  Looking at how much pollution there is this year think of how it will be in five years.   Hopefully by then we will have figured out another natural resource that everyone can afford.  If don’t then our air will be so polluted that we wouldn’t be able to breathe. That will happen within 50 years.  Luckily we have electric cars that some people use.  Not enough people use them because they can’t afford them.  These cars should be way less than they are but that’s something people can’t change.

I am also not very proud of how much money we are losing.  We are in way too much of debt.  One pretty big reason for this is because when countries are having problems they look to us if were allies.  Then we send a bunch of soldiers in and help them out.   We even do that when it's not even our war we just go in and help in the war and lose a lot of money.   One part of this problem actually makes me proud, we don’t just let the other countries off, we always help them out with their problems even though we are still in dept.

All these things make up our amazing country.  Our country is very determined and can get basically anything done.  There are so many more things about our great country, but the USA really is the best country in the world.

Green Bay Packers

Authors note- I wrote this comment to inform people why the packers have the best franchise in history.  Others may think otherwise but won't after they read this so packers fan or not you might want to read this. 

The first rushing touchdown scored in Super Bowl history was scored by the Packers great fullback Jim Taylor.   The Packers have a good team only sometimes.   One year with Brett Favre the Packers stunk.  When he retired and then joined the jets he was still pretty bad, but then the Packers had their new amazing quarterback Aaron Rodgers to lead them to super bowl 45.  The Green Bay Packers have the best franchise team in history

The Green Bay Packers have the record of most world championships.  They have won a total of 13.  The closest team to that is the Chicago Bears with nine.  This proves that the Packers are the best team in NFL history.   Even though they haven’t won more than five super bowls they still are.  All the other teams just have a couple really years and then they win the super bowl.  The Packers have a good super bowl record 4-5.  The other good teams have been in the super bowl about seven times so people will argue that that stuff doesn’t matter.  

The Packers also have a really good defense.  I have never seen the packers let up more than 35 points, but they probably have before when I wasn’t born but I have been watching the Packers for a long time and I knew the first time I saw them play they would be the best team in history.  In the game before super bowl 45 the bears were backed against the wall at their own 18 yard line when their back-up quarterback Hannie threw the ball right into the hands of B.J. Raji, a defensive lineman who was in a special coverage, picked he ball off and lumbered 18 yards for a pick six.  This guy was about 380 pounds and is a amazing athlete. One great reason the Green Bay Packers have a great defense.

Since Brett Favre left the packers they have been very good.  Don’t get me wrong he was really good, but then he got too old and his arm got a little worse and he started throwing a lot of picks and his throws got inaccurate.  That’s when he got smart and retired, and then he got stupid and played for the Jets. Then retired (smart), then he played for the Vikings (stupid). Now he’s retired again.   Now let’s wait and see if he comes back.

With Aaron Rodgers as our quarterback and Finley as a wide receiver we have really good offense.  We don’t usually get sacked that much so we have a good O-line.  Our offense is usually unstoppable.  We can get stuffed when we run and some in-completions. I am still wondering if our offense can carry the Packers to the super bowl let alone win.  But the packers are still the best and I will never turn on them, but why would I need to though since the packers are so good.

One thing I regret doing is liking the Jets with the Packers after Brett Favre retired and went to the Jets.  When he went to the Vikings I completely hated him.  Not only because that the Vikings and Packers are rivals, but because he hasn’t stayed retired too many times and came back.  He was a favorite for a while and yes he was really good.  He has been playing for so long I don’t blame him for having the record for most interceptions.

The Packers most certainly have usually had a good team except in the 70’s.  Still the fans stuck with them because they have the best franchise in the NFL.
